In celebration of Findlay's Bicentennial, we will be digging up the time capsule buried during the Sesquicentennial in 1962. And, we will be burying our own time capsule later this year. We would like to see as many companies, businesses, local organizations, families and individuals participate as possible. The current time capsule will be dug up and on display on Wednesday, June 13 at Riverside Park. Join us for a concert in the park that evening at 7 p.m. featuring Night Jazz.
Cost to place an item in the time capsule are as follows:
School age children $1.00
All other personal items/letters $5.00
Companies and organizations $25.00
Items can be dropped off at the Hancock Historical Museum during regular hours, Tuesday through Friday from 8:20 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Items will also be collected at the Chamber of Commerce's Rally in the Alley on June 15 from 5-7 p.m. in Latham Courtyard. Additional locations and events are coming soon.
